Reverse Squeeze Pages
I have recently been reading about a new marketing tactic called reverse squeeze page and from what I see some marketers are getting extremely good results from this. Basically it works like this; instead of building a one page squeeze page with an opt in box asking subscribers to give their details before they can have any information, a reverse squeeze page will give some information first and then will ask the reader to subscribe if they like what they see.
This could be done by building a multi page website for instance and then setting it up to allow a reader to click on a certain amount of pages, say two, and then when they click a third (it doesn’t matter which page) they are directed to an opt in page to enable them to get more information.
As I said, many marketers are getting good results from this and their traffic subscribers are far more targeted and therefore more likely to purchase at a later date. It makes a lot of sense and definitely something I will be looking into more closely.
Cheers
Jeff

The idea of a “reverse squeeze page” is just about one of the stupidest things I have ever heard of..
As you may or may not know, I do not follow the “typical” way of the marketer but manage to do very well on my own accord and I have been using “reverse squeeze pages” for YEARS without a name - it is called a QUALITY website.
Provide a quality website with good information, add an opt-in box, and your regular readers will jump on. Make sure that when you send info to them via email it is useful and they will forward to their friends who will ultimately join your mailing list as well - it is very basic viral marketing.
The fact that some “guru” probably pitched this as a “unique” idea so they could gain your attention quite frankly upsets me as this has been the way things have been done online for YEARS….
Same old internet marketers - rehash some old stuff, give it a new name, and claim it as your newfound idea so you can profit off the deal…
